Audi Driving Days 2026 –
Booking platform and check-in app for test drives

Digital solution for booking, check-in, and driver clearance

The challenge

dgtl.ai built the digital booking platform for test drives at the Audi Driving Days for Audi AG – a nationwide event series running at six locations across Germany from July 8 to August 16, 2026. Visitors get to experience selected Audi models firsthand: simply choose a model, book for free, and experience Audi – from the Audi Q7 and Audi Q4 e-tron to the Audi RS 5.

The goal: a seamless process from online booking to the actual test drive – with valid registrations free of bot bookings, clear model selection, and a legally sound, smooth check-in at every location. The project was implemented together with the agency The Storytelling Company.

The approach

from validated click to test drive

The platform covers the participant's entire journey. It starts with a deliberate hurdle for better data quality: users first enter their email address and receive a personal booking link. This email validation prevents bot registrations as well as bookings with non-existent or mistyped addresses.

A streamlined booking wizard then lets participants choose their preferred model and a time slot. The platform checks the date of birth entered at registration: some models require a minimum age of 25, others 21. Each person only sees the models they're allowed to drive at their age. Anyone wanting to experience more can book several test drives for different models – booking the same model twice is deliberately excluded.

On site, dgtl.ai's check-in app takes over. It works with several checkpoints: the main check-in at the desk and a separate check-in for each test drive. There, staff confirm the visual driver's license check, select the vehicle model, and assign the drive to a specific vehicle. Before setting off, every driver accepts and signs the participation agreement in the app and confirms their data is correct. Notes – for example on vehicle condition or damage – can be recorded directly in the app.

Location Munich

Audi driving experience with payment integration

Test drives at the Audi Driving Days can be booked free of charge. At the opening location in Munich, however, a paid option is added: when booking a test drive, users can also select an Audi driving experience. If they choose to, the platform redirects them to the myAudi portal once the booking is complete. There, users log in with their account and make the payment for the Audi driving experience. Once payment is confirmed, dgtl.ai's system receives the payment information back – keeping the free test drive booking and the paid add-on cleanly linked.

Campaign management & leads

Adobe Analytics and Salesforce integration

The booking platform is connected to both Adobe Analytics and Salesforce. This means campaign measurement doesn't stop at the click, but continues through to the confirmed test drive.
Promotion for the Audi Driving Days runs across multiple channels. The Adobe Analytics integration makes it possible to trace which campaign and channel a booking came from – across channels and by location. Across six locations over five weeks, this lets media budgets be evaluated during the campaign, not just in a post-event report.

The resulting leads are passed to Salesforce via an interface – along with their campaign attribution. A lead there is not just a name with a requested time slot, but carries its source, chosen model, and location with it.

Marketing consent is captured during the booking process and passed to Salesforce along with the lead. Salesforce then triggers the double opt-in process. This documents consent and makes the lead immediately usable after the event – with proof of when and in what context it was given.

A test drive is the point of highest purchase intent in the entire process. The integration ensures that this moment doesn't end when the event does.

The event series at a glance

Audi Driving Days 2026

The Audi Driving Days run at six locations across Germany from July 8 to August 16, 2026. At every location, visitors can book test drives with selected Audi models through dgtl.ai's booking platform – from the Audi Q7 and Audi Q4 e-tron to the Audi RS 5. The same validated booking and check-in process runs identically at all six locations, with the Munich location adding payment integration for the Audi driving experience.

Implementation
at a glance

From the first click to check-in on site

Email validation & booking link

Booking only after email confirmation – protects against bot registrations and incorrect addresses.

Booking wizard with model selection

Model and time slot selection; multiple models can be booked, the same model not twice.

Age check & model-dependent clearance

Date of birth is checked at registration; only models matching the person's age (from 21 or 25) are shown.

Audi driving experience & myAudi payment

Optional paid add-on with a redirect to the myAudi portal and payment confirmation sent back to the platform for the Munich location.

Check-in app with multiple checkpoints

Main check-in at the desk and a separate check-in for each test drive for a well-organized flow on site. Vehicle condition, damage, and other notes are recorded directly in the app.

Driver's license check & digital participation agreement

Confirmation of the license check, vehicle assignment, digital signature, and data confirmation before setting off.

Value
for Audi

Measurable, legally sound, and scalable

Measurable campaign performance

Campaign attribution per booking via Adobe Analytics – across channels and by location, evaluable while the campaign is running.

Usable leads instead of attendee lists

Handed over to Salesforce with campaign source and model preference. Marketing consent is captured during booking and the double opt-in is triggered via Salesforce.

Valid registrations

Email validation prevents bot bookings and incorrect addresses – clean data from the start.

Legally sound participation

Digital participation agreement, signature, and data confirmation before every test drive.

Smooth check-in

Multiple checkpoints, driver's license check, and vehicle assignment in one app.

Scalable across the series

One consistent process across six locations – plannable and repeatable.

Why this model works

Validated booking + guided check-in + attributed lead handover =
an event that pays off

The combination of upfront email validation, a clearly guided booking wizard, and a check-in app with a legally sound participation agreement makes the process reliable at every location – online and on site.
